Roberto Antonelli

born Rome, Italy, 1942
Italian philologist. Professor Emeritus of Romance Philology at Sapienza University, Rome, Italy. He is President of the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei and President of the Class of Moral Sciences. Antonelli has coordinated research on the European literary canon and the European lexicon of emotions, and was the first to promote new fields of study such as Material Philology and the Philology of the Reader. For the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei, he oversaw the celebrations of the Triptych of Italian ingenuity, which began in 2019, with exhibitions dedicated to Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael and Dante.

Giorgio Parisi

born Rome, Italy, 1948
Italian physicist. Professor Emeritus of Theoretical Physics at Sapienza University, Rome, Italy. He is Vice President of the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei and President of the Class of Physical Sciences. Parisi has made many decisive and widely recognized contributions in several Physics areas: Particle Physics, Statistical Mechanics, Fluid Dynamics, Condensed Matter and Supercomputers. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics 2021 “for the discovery of the interplay of disorder and fluctuations in physical systems from atomic to planetary scales”.

Wolfango Plastino

Born Catanzaro, Italy, 1967
Italian physicist. Professor of Applied Physics at Roma Tre University, Rome, Italy. He is Chair of the Colloquia on Science Diplomacy of the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei. Plastino is member of the Standing Advisory Group on Nuclear Applications of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) – United Nations. His research activities and international collaborations include various areas in Physics: Environmental Radioactivity, Earth Physics and Gravitational Waves.
